What is a Calamansi?

Like a mouthful of sunshine, calamansi (also known as calamondin) is a small & fragrant citrus fruit teeming with fresh, tart tropical flavor. It is a delicious addition to foods and drinks where you would use any tart citrus fruit such as lemons or limes. The calamansi fruit's wonderful & unique flavor is best described as a “cross between a lime and a mandarin orange”. Not surprisingly, it adds a refreshing kick to iced tea, soft drinks, beer or any of your most favorite cocktails! The calamansi fruit is rich in Vitamin C, with natural citrus oil, pectin (an antioxidant) and fiber. It is a great tonic for the liver, maintains overall kidney health and known to help prevent diabetes.
